'Dubliner' (Sherwin)
Dubliner’ (Sherwin) is a robust ‘Starry Night’ sibling that shares its L. henryi ancestry—but blooms several weeks earlier. Tiny 2 1/2 inch ivory white flowers with tightly recurved petals sport a lively shamrock green heart that contrasts with a broad band of blended yellow and gold. Minute rust colored papillae and striking orange anthers on long, graceful filaments add to the nodding flowers’ charm. Sturdy stems are clothed with broad light green leaves. Grows to 3 1/2 feet. Blooming mid July through the first week of August or so.
