'Easter morn'
'Easter morn'
‘Easter morn’ ‘Longiflorum/trumpet hybrid, the fabulous hybrid 'Easter Morn' from the wonderful breeding work of Canadians Wilbert G. Ronald and Lynn Collicutt undertaken at the Morden Research Centre. It is a second-generation hybrid, a triploid with huge typically "goosey" longiflorum shaped buds (wider near their tips) with a luscious deep chocolate reverse like the best of the 'Black Dragon' trumpet strain. Its enormous stems are strong enough to carry its huge inflorescence of heavily fragrant flowers; even more amazing is that it is very hardy, even in southern Manitoba gardens. 'EasterMorn,' with its unique beauty, stature, fragrance, genes, and proven garden endurance and cold hardiness, should grace every lily garden, and we hope it will continue to be used in hybridizing. It has not been easy to find the true 'Easter Morn,' under its real name, in the United States, so we are glad to offer it in the 2022
